Do you know what happens when a Jinn dies? When a Jinn reaches the end of its life, what happens to it? Is its soul taken in the same way as a human soul, or is there something different?Do Jinn wear a shroud just like humans?

Are they buried like humans? And do burial grounds or graveyards even exist for this unseen creation? So, let us explore what happens to Jinn in the end.As you know, Jinn were created from fire. But how can something created from fire die when fire itself can cause harm to us?To understand this, think about our own existence. Humans were created from earth, but is the human body today simply a lump of earth? Of course not. Our bodies contain flesh, bones, and warm blood flowing through them.If someone threw a heavy stone at a person’s head, the person would be injured and feel pain—even though the stone itself is also made from material that comes from the earth. The same basic idea applies to Jinn. Their origin of creation is from fire, but after their creation, their existence is not simply ordinary, visible fire. Rather, they have a different and unseen form of existence that humans cannot normally perceive.Because of this, their bodies can also be affected, they can experience harm, and they are also subject to death.Dear friends, the Jinn who live in the unseen world are not all the same. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that Jinn can be broadly understood in three categories:Jinn who fly through the air like birds and can disappear very quickly.Jinn that can appear in the form of snakes and dogs.Jinn who live like ordinary communities, with tribes and families, travelling from one place to another, eating, drinking, and marrying. As for the lifespan of Jinn, their lives may be much longer than those of humans. A human may live for 60, 70, or even 100 years, while Jinn are traditionally described as having much longer lifespans. But despite having long lives and extraordinary abilities, what is ultimately their fate? When the final moment of their lives arrives, how does their life end?The clearest answer comes from Allah Himself. The Qur’an teaches us that everything on Earth will eventually perish, while only the presence of our Lord will remain. This means that the law of death is not limited to humans. Whether humans live in the visible world or Jinn live behind the unseen veil, death is ultimately a reality for living creatures. The Qur’an also mentions that there were communities of Jinn before us whose generations passed away, just as generations of humans have passed away. So, even though much about the unseen world is beyond our knowledge, one thing is clear: Jinn are also created beings, and they are not immortal.Part 2 Coming Soon!
